HOME SERVICEs POLICIES AND PROCEDUCES

At Noble Barnes, our goal is to provide reliable, professional, and respectful care for every home we service. These policies help create clear expectations so that our team can deliver consistent, high-quality service while protecting both our clients and our team members.

MEET THE TEAM

At Noble Barnes, we believe trust begins with knowing who is caring for your home.

Unlike companies that use independent contractors or third-party platforms, every housekeeper is hired directly by Noble Barnes. Our team members are carefully selected because they share our commitment to integrity, respect, professionalism, and exceptional customer service.

Before joining our team, each employee completes our hiring process, which includes:

  • Employment application and interview
  • Background check
  • Reference verification
  • Training on Noble Barnes policies, procedures, and cleaning standards

We want you to feel comfortable and confident with the person entering your home.

To help you get to know our team, every Noble Barnes housekeeper is featured on our website with:

  • A professional headshot
  • Their name
  • A personal biography
  • Information about their experience and approach to home care

Prior to your scheduled services, you will also receive an introduction to the team member(s) assigned to your home. In addition, we regularly introduce new team members and share staff announcements through our client communications so you always know who is part of the Noble Barnes family.

Our commitment to transparency means you'll always know who is caring for your home, giving you peace of mind with every visit.

MEET & GREET

At Noble Barnes, every new housekeeping client is required to complete a Meet & Greet prior to the first scheduled cleaning.

This complimentary in-home consultation allows us to understand your home, your expectations, and the level of service you are looking for. It also gives you the opportunity to meet with a Noble Barnes representative, ask questions, and ensure we are the right fit for your household.

During the Meet & Greet, we will:

  • Tour your home
  • Discuss your cleaning priorities and expectations
  • Review the size and condition of the home
  • Identify any areas requiring special attention
  • Discuss pets, access instructions, and alarm or gate codes
  • Review any preferred cleaning products or special requests
  • Explain our cleaning process, policies, and procedures
  • Provide a personalized service estimate

Following the Meet & Greet, detailed notes are created for your home and shared with the Noble Barnes cleaning team assigned to your service. This helps ensure consistency and allows us to deliver the same high-quality experience with every visit.

Our goal is to build a long-term relationship based on trust, communication, and exceptional service from your very first appointment.

SCOPE OF SERVICE

Noble Barnes provides residential housekeeping services tailored to each home. Typical services may include:

  • Dusting surfaces and furniture
  • Vacuuming carpets and rugs
  • Sweeping and mopping floors
  • Kitchen cleaning (countertops, appliance exteriors, sink)
  • Bathroom cleaning and sanitizing
  • Trash removal
  • Light organization of visible surfaces
  • Bed making (if linens are left out)

All services are customized based on the size of the home, frequency of service, and level of cleaning required.

Service Types

Noble Barnes offers the following core service levels:

  • General Clean — routine, recurring maintenance cleaning to keep the home consistently fresh.
  • Deep Clean — a more thorough cleaning covering baseboards, detailed surfaces, and areas not typically reached during a general clean; recommended as a first-time service or periodic refresh.
  • Move-In / Move-Out Clean — a top-to-bottom cleaning for an empty home, prepared for new occupants or final inspection (see the Move-In / Move-Out Cleaning section below).
  • Post-Construction Cleaning — specialized cleaning to remove dust, debris, and residue following a renovation or construction project.

A detailed checklist outlining exactly what is included in each service type accompanies these Policies & Procedures and should be reviewed alongside this document.

Additional services (such as inside-oven cleaning, interior window cleaning, laundry, or refrigerator cleaning) can be added on to any service type for an additional cost. Ask our office for current add-on options and pricing.

PREPARING YOUR HOME FOR CLEANING

To allow our team to clean efficiently:

  • Please remove excessive clutter from floors, counters, and surfaces.
  • Personal items, toys, clothing, and paperwork should be put away prior to service.
  • If areas are heavily cluttered, additional time may be required and billed accordingly.

Preparing your home helps maximize the time our team spends cleaning rather than organizing.

SCHEDULING & ARRIVAL WINDOWS

Due to travel time, traffic, and varying job sizes, exact arrival times cannot always be guaranteed. Our teams generally service homes between:

Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Clients will receive an estimated arrival window. If a cleaning requires additional time due to unexpected conditions, the client may be contacted for approval before continuing.

CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING POLICY

When a cleaning is scheduled, time is reserved specifically for your home.

Once a reminder/announcement about your upcoming cleaning has been sent, clients have 12 hours to make any modifications or cancellations at no charge. Modifications or cancellations made after this 12-hour window are subject to the following fees:

  • Cancellation/modification after the 12-hour window: $55.00 administration fee
  • Same-day cancellation: up to 50% of the service fee
  • Lockout or denied access: $55.00 service charge

If a client cancels or reschedules, pricing and future appointment availability may be adjusted accordingly. A cancelled or rescheduled time slot is not guaranteed to remain open — the appointment slot may be filled by another client, and the original client may lose their reserved spot.

These policies protect the scheduled time reserved for each client and for our team.

ITEMS WE DO NOT CLEAN

For safety and liability reasons, Noble Barnes does not clean:

  • Human or animal waste
  • Adult toys
  • Severe mold or pest infestations
  • High exterior windows
  • Hazardous materials
  • Areas requiring specialized equipment
  • Bodily fluids of any kind
  • Firearms, weapons, or ammunition
  • Illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, or prescription medications

Special requests may require referral to a specialty service.

SAFETY GUIDELINES

For the safety of our team and your home, our team will not:

  • Move heavy furniture
  • Climb ladders beyond safe height
  • Clean hazardous materials or biohazards
  • Clean areas that pose safety risks

Biohazard situations (mold, pests, bodily fluids) must be addressed before cleaning can be performed.

Thermostat & Utilities

For the comfort and safety of our team while working, we ask that air conditioning be set no higher than 70°F during service in warmer months. If the home's temperature is not maintained at a safe working level, service time or scope may be adjusted.

Weapons, Drugs & Prescription Medications

For the safety of our team, all firearms and other weapons should be stored securely and out of sight prior to service. Our team will not handle, move, or clean around firearms, ammunition, or weapons left in the open.

Our team does not handle, move, sort, or clean around illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, or prescription medications. Any such items should be secured prior to service. If a team member encounters these items in plain view, they may pause or discontinue cleaning in that area for their safety and the client's privacy.

RESPECT FOR YOUR HOME & PRIVACY

Our team members are trained to respect every home we enter. You can expect:

  • Professional and courteous service
  • Careful handling of belongings
  • Secure locking of doors and gates when leaving
  • Respect for privacy and confidentiality

ENTRY TO THE HOME

Clients may choose one of the following access methods:

  • Client present at the home
  • Garage code or keypad entry
  • Lockbox with key
  • Key
  • Smart lock entry
  • Alarm code

If our team cannot access the home at the scheduled time, a lockout fee of $55.00 may apply. Clients are responsible for ensuring alarm codes, gate codes, and access instructions are accurate.

PETS

We love our clients' pets! However, for safety:

  • Aggressive or nervous pets should be secured.
  • Our team cannot clean animal waste, litter boxes, or pet accidents unless previously arranged.
  • If pets prevent the team from safely performing the service, the cleaning may be discontinued and the client will be charged for the scheduled service.

DRAWERS, CLOSETS & PERSONAL AREAS

Out of respect for your privacy, our team does not open closed drawers, cabinets, closets, or doors unless specifically authorized by the client in advance. Bedrooms and personal spaces are cleaned at a general, surface level only.

PERSONAL ITEMS

We ask that personal and intimate items — including but not limited to sex toys, tampons, condoms, and other personal hygiene products — be stored out of sight prior to service. This keeps the space approachable and comfortable for both our team and our clients.

MOVE-IN / MOVE-OUT CLEANING

Move-in and move-out cleanings are a specialized, deep-cleaning service and require the following conditions to be met:

  • The home must be completely empty of furniture, boxes, and personal belongings before our team arrives.
  • Utilities (electricity and water) must be active so our team can safely operate equipment and complete the cleaning.
  • If the home is not cleared as agreed, service may be limited, rescheduled, or subject to an additional fee.

Move-in/move-out cleanings typically include inside cabinets and drawers, baseboards, and interior appliance cleaning as agreed upon in the service estimate.

REFRIGERATOR / FREEZER CLEANING

When refrigerator or freezer cleaning is included as part of service:

  • Our team will wipe down interior shelves, drawers, and surfaces.
  • Expired, spoiled, or unidentifiable food items will be discarded as part of the cleaning.
  • Clients who wish to keep all existing contents should remove or sort them prior to service, or notify our office in advance.

Noble Barnes is not responsible for items discarded in the normal course of an authorized refrigerator cleaning.

PRICING ADJUSTMENTS

Cleaning estimates are based on:

  • Size of home
  • Frequency of cleaning
  • Condition of the home
  • Number of rooms and bathrooms

Prices may be adjusted if:

  • The home requires significantly more time than originally estimated
  • Additional services are requested
  • The frequency of service changes
  • A cleaning is cancelled or rescheduled by the client

Clients will be notified if adjustments are needed.

BREAKAGE & DAMAGE POLICY

Our team takes great care while working in your home. In the rare event of damage:

  • The client must notify our office within 48 hours of service.
  • Items valued over standard replacement cost may require insurance processing.

Noble Barnes cannot be responsible for damage caused by:

  • Pre-existing conditions
  • Improperly secured items
  • Normal wear and tear

Clients are encouraged to secure fragile or irreplaceable items before service.

SATISFACTION GUARANTEE

Your satisfaction is important to us. If you are not satisfied with any part of the cleaning:

  • Please notify our office within 24 hours.
  • We will review the concern and schedule a correction if appropriate.

Our goal is to ensure every client feels confident in the quality of service provided.

TEAM COMPENSATION & TIPPING

Our cleaning teams are compensated weekly, every Monday, for the work completed the prior week. Paying outstanding invoices promptly helps us compensate our team accurately and on schedule.

Our team members receive 100% of the tips they earn. Tips are always appreciated as a way to recognize great service, but they are never expected or required.

PAYMENT POLICY

Payment is due upon completion of the service unless other arrangements have been made. Accepted payment methods may include:

  • Checks written to "Noble Barnes." Please place the check in an envelope before giving it to the team.
  • Venmo: @noblebarnes (last four digits 8882)
  • CashApp: $noblebarnesllc
  • Zelle: noblebarnesservice@gmail.com
  • PayPal: https://paypal.me/noblebarnes?country.x=US&locale.x=en_US

If payment cannot be processed, future services may be paused until the balance is resolved. Returned checks or failed payments may incur an additional fee of $75.00.

Paying outstanding invoices promptly helps us compensate our team accurately and on time. Delinquent accounts may affect future scheduling priority.

COMMUNICATION

Clear communication helps us serve you better. Clients may contact our office regarding:

  • Scheduling questions
  • Service concerns
  • Additional service requests
  • Billing questions

OFFICE HOURS

Our office operates Monday through Friday 9am-5pm. We are closed on weekends and major holidays. Requests submitted outside of business hours will be reviewed the next business day.

WEATHER POLICY

Housekeeping continues rain or shine. However, severe weather conditions such as:

  • Flooding
  • Ice

...may impact arrival times. Our team will communicate any delays and make every reasonable effort to complete your cleaning as close to the scheduled time as safely possible.

PHOTO & VIDEO / SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY

As part of our normal business practice, Noble Barnes takes before-and-after photos and videos of the homes we service. These photos and videos help us showcase our work, train our team, and promote our business on social media (including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube) and on our website and marketing materials.

What We Capture

  • Before-and-after shots of cleaned rooms, surfaces, and spaces
  • Short video clips of our team performing cleaning tasks
  • General home features relevant to showcasing the results of our work

Protecting Your Privacy

We take care to protect our clients' privacy when capturing and sharing content:

  • We do not photograph or film personal documents, mail, prescriptions, financial information, or other identifying items.
  • We do not photograph or film family members, children, or pets without separate permission.
  • Home addresses and other identifying details are not shared alongside photos or videos.
  • Personal and intimate items (see the Personal Items section above) should be stored out of sight prior to service, which also helps keep photo and video content appropriate.

Opting Out

Clients who do not want their home photographed or filmed for marketing or social media purposes may opt out at any time by notifying our office. Once an opt-out request is received, our team will avoid capturing marketing content at that home going forward. Clients may also request that specific existing photos or videos be taken down.

Quality Assurance & Damage Documentation

In addition to marketing use, photos may also be used internally for quality assurance or to document existing conditions and damage claims, consistent with these Policies and Procedures.
