Position Overview
The Pet Services Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, team performance, and overall service quality of Noble Barnes Pet Sitting within a designated service area. This leadership role blends hands-on pet care experience with team development, operational oversight, and a strong commitment to animal welfare.
The Team Lead ensures that pets, clients, and team members receive the highest level of care and support while helping drive growth, consistency, and excellence across the Pet Services division.
Service Area
Servicing Rockwall County and surrounding communities.
Services may include care for:
- Domestic animals (dogs, cats, small pets)
- Farm animals (horses, goats, chickens, livestock)
- Exotic pets (reptiles, birds, specialty animals)
Role Summary
- Lead and support a team of pet sitters within an assigned division
- Ensure consistent, high-quality care across all client homes
- Strengthen client relationships and team performance
- Support operational growth and service excellence
Core Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop pet sitters to meet performance expectations
- Provide ongoing coaching, training, and support
- Foster a culture of accountability, compassion, and teamwork
- Help onboard and guide new team members in the field
- Operational Oversight
- Support scheduling coordination and team coverage across service areas
- Ensure visits are completed on time and according to client instructions
- Monitor daily operations and address service gaps as they arise
- Promote consistency in communication, documentation, and care routines
Performance & Growth Monitoring
- Monitor key performance indicators such as:
- Client satisfaction
- Customer retention
- Revenue within the division
- Operational efficiency
- Provide feedback to management on trends, team needs, and growth opportunities
Policy & Procedure Development
- Help develop and implement best practices for pet care visits
- Reinforce Noble Barnes standards for safety, communication, and professionalism
- Support continuous improvement of workflows and systems
Client Experience & Relationship Management
- Serve as a point of contact for escalated client concerns
- Resolve issues quickly, professionally, and with empathy
- Help strengthen trust between clients and the Noble Barnes team
- Ensure a consistent, high-quality experience across all visits
Collaboration & Business Development
- Collaborate with marketing and leadership to promote services
- Help identify opportunities to increase client engagement and referrals
- Support growth within the service area through relationship-building
Industry Awareness
- Stay informed on pet care trends, animal behavior insights, and best practices
- Monitor competitor activity and emerging innovations
- Share knowledge to help strengthen service quality and team expertise
Hands-On Support
- Step in to assist with pet visits when coverage is needed
- Support care for:
- Large dogs and active breeds
- Multi-pet households
- Farm and exotic animal assignments
- Lead by example in professionalism, care quality, and reliability
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs or more
- Comfortable walking large dogs and handling active animals
- Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
Qualifications
- Proven experience in pet care services, team leadership, or operations management
- Strong understanding of animal behavior and safe handling practices
- Leadership experience in multi-location or field-based environments preferred
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
